Who has heard of the crystal skull

some years ago several crystal skulls were foung in south ameriac and were rumored to have mystic powers. some were stronger then others. all were carved from a single crystal although some were rougher then others. I saw this on the discovery chanel or somthing but I can't for the life of me remember what the powers were. Did anybody else see this and perhaps remember what the powers were?

IIRC, the crystal skull gets a write-up in GURPS Warehouse 23. i can't remember the exact powers other than it was really bad mojo.

That show was pretty cool. I remember something about people claiming they could use them like a crystal ball to see things in the skull's past or something like that. And if you spend too much time with one, you go crazy.

Good d20 powers for a crystal skull would probably include scry and speak with dead. Maybe even give you a chance to control undead as an evil cleric with the caster level of the skull.

Unrelated to any real crystal skull, there was one in my campaign that was essentially an artifact, but essentially a demilich...

the only crystal skull I remember is from a comic book. sabrina the teenaged witch.

The skull was found with the incas or the aztecs, purported to have mystical powers and the evil scientist used it to hypnotise the populace. Sabrina shrunk herself and went into the skull and enlarged herself to destroy it.

Hey, wasn't there a crystal skull in one of the old Infocom Zork games?

A crystal skull made an appearance in SG1. I don't recall exactly but it had some sort or mesmerizing power that took the victim out normal reality, sort of like being involuntarily ethereal.
