Who here has bought Transhuman Space?

First Post
Now that all the supplements for Transhuman Space are sold at $9.95 per book, I was wondering who has taken the opportunity to complete the line... or who here already has bought some of the books before that.

Transhuman Space might not be d20, but in my not so humble opinion it has a brilliance that transcends systems.

Well,

I have the core book but I haven't picked up any of the supplements. I've never liked GURPS but TS was just too interesting not to own.

Where are you finding the books so cheap?

Straight from the publisher - their store, Warehouse23, has too much back stock, and so they have decided to lower the prices on most GURPS 3e books. Though I have noticed that at least one German online store is now also selling them at these prices...

You own EVEREYTHING, my friend! You are like the RPG Library of Alexandria!

Another question:

Who of those reading this doesn't know what Transhuman Space is?

It is a "Hard Science" future role playing game. One of the fundamental aspects is that the only way we can go to space is to adapt ourselves with genetic enginering, thus Transhuman.

It is proably the most "real" future RPG I have seen.

BTW, most of the old 3rd edition GURPS Sourcebooks are also on sale for $9.95. I just filled in a few holes in my collection as a Christmas present to myself.

Actually, no - while the younger generations of space-dwellers have adapted themselves (especially with regard to radiation resistance, though many also made their feets into additional hands...), there are plenty of people in space without any modified genes in their genome. Just because all this stuff is possible it doesn't mean that everyone has to use it, even though it makes life more convenient in many cases.

Heh. I know - I am the proud owner of 22 new GURPS books... :D

Well, I didn't get any TS books....

...because I already had all of them! :)

But the sale was a good chance to fill some of the holes in my GURPS collection...

I like the THS setting, and own a couple of books, but I can't stand GURPS these days (too many pointless details getting in the way of both game and story) so I stopped buying after a few books.
