I am lowering the cost on my website for downloads of the pdf to $4.95 for the premiere issue to help people who want to review it and i wil address pdf subscriptions starting with issue #1 later.

I didn't think $8 was that much, but if the Dragon magazine had about the same content and they go for $4.95, I guess that is a good gauge to go by, for starters.
Good plan. Also, suits me better. ;) Personally, I believe that around 50-67% of the print version's cover price is fair. If companies start charging higher than about 70% (WotC, f'rex, at 100%) then I simply refuse to buy any PDFs they put out. Simple as that.

Anyway, I would like to buy a print copy, or maybe even subscription, but I'm trying to ween myself off buying books and stuff from overseas. The postage costs have been horrendous sometimes. :( If I was in the US, or even Canada perhaps, I'd probably go for it.

Long story short, I'll pick up the PDF and see what it's like. :) Hope the magazine does really well, by the way.

I hope so too, but really, I am in it for the love of the game, and tha lack of the Dragon :D :p

I am wondering where you live?

I certainly understand not wanting to pay overseas shipping. I was really shocked how much it is to ship over there. I do have a few over seas orders, so a few people are taking the plunge.

I will check my orders tonight, again, and see if you pop up for a pdf. I hope you enjoy.

hah, now you have to buy it, I have an adventure, and it takes up about 30 pages. That should give you plenty of ideas. :) ;)

I am one man, not a large company, I can't afford to just let everything go for $2, sorry.

Yes, I want everyone to read it, but I have to at least break even while doing so. Actually, I did have some hard costs going into it, so really I need to do more than break even.

I am trying to get ahold of the folks at enworld and Paizo to see if I can have them host it for download. If they don't charge to much, I think that will help reduce my pdf distribution costs. Maybe I might then be able to lower the cost then.

I didn't say $2 for everything, just issue 0 as a "introductory, try it out, take it for a ride" price.

Thae adventure takes up 30 pages? Yeah, that may very well entice me.

I lowered the pdf to $4.95 and I think that is fair. I hope that will lure you in.

It lured me in. I just sent the money via PayPal for the zero-issue.
I was done checking orders for the night, but I just saw this so i log in and send it out right away. I hope you enjoy.

For easier pdf ordering I am uploading the pdf version of the magazine to Paizo.com. It won't go up until Monday though.

In the mean time, you can continue to place pdf orders on my website at www.dragonroots.net.

I'll keep you posted when you can order it at paizo and other stores like RPGNOW.

Any comments re: Issue #0? I admit that I am somewhat curious as to how you view the Alignment article I wrote. Useful? Interesting? Crap?

Meanwhile, I've been doing some work with Rocco and Mark for Issue #1, and I think it'll be a better issue than the Premiere issue. For one thing, it is set to include my first published (although small) adventure module, The Temple of the Ape. I'm pretty jazzed about it, and hope you will be too.
