I thought you could only sue if you -lost- something. Being a part of the community is one thing, but you'd have to get the people who own D&D/other rpgs to sue.

Nah. You can sue for just about anything... defamation of character would probably be something along the lines of what you would be going for here, though IANAL.

I'd soooo wish my games had that proportion of good-looking women. Heck, even that proportion of just women would be an improvement. :D

I think Chick and the like actually caused TSR to gain money. D&D sales nearly doubled when the witch-hunt was at its top. For each person whose parents forbid from touching a PHB again, there were two who thought "evil == cool" and jumped in.

besides drawing attention to chick such as by taking legal action will only draw attention to him and give him a much better outlet for his deranged messages.

This would be bad imo(or rather good for those who own rpg componanies, bad for the common gamer)

better imo to let him fade into obscurity

This is a notice of cease and desist against your slandering portrayal of D&D...

Don't bother. I don't normally admit this, but Jack Chick isn't anti-gaming. He's pro-gaming. He wrote Dark Dungeons as a parody of the anti-gaming lobby, but it was taken seriously by the very people he was mocking and sold pretty well. So he decided to produce more inflamatory material on other topics. I'm pretty sure he doesn't believe any of it. Despite the apparent strength of his vitriol, his tongue is securely lodged in his cheek.

Oh PU-LEESE! Just because one passage in the Quar'an says the sun set in a pond the whole thing is wrong? Has anybody sent Mr. Chick a false passage in the Bible to prove that whole thing wrong? A single misteak is all it takes eh? Right... and John Proctor was a witch.

my father is a devote follower of Chick, which made for interesting arguements with my mother who allowed me to play DnD, and my father would try and take my books away, and purify his sons life!! yikes, no wonder my mom left his sorry A$$. yet the man would no pay child support, great christain ethics if you ask me!

peace

Apparently it's perfectly plausible for the sun to stand still in the sky, but not for it to set in a pond.
