Oooh, I like this.

I have a house rule. No PC goes below -9 by the DM's hand. If theyr'e going to die, it's because the other PC's didn't stabilize him. ..now sometimes they can't reach the PC (like I care :)

Question for all you with "Absolutely No Infighting" rules -- what are the PCs expected to do when one of their own goes evil?

The most memorable PC-vs-PC death I can recall was in MarauderX's game, where the paladin, surrounded and outnumbered, began reading from the deeply evil book that we had trusted him to carry. Casts Seething Eyebane, summons demons, and he keeps reading from the book. The Seeker of the Song sees this, and his next flame-blast catches the (now-former) paladin and all of the foes surrounding him.

At which point the charred skeleton cackles gleefully and, as a death knight, proceeds to become a major villain in the campaign.

If PC-vs-PC is not allowed... are PCs forbidden from doing evil things in the first place (or very very stupid things with hideously evil consequences)? Or are other PCs forbidden from calling them to justice on it?

[Edit: And I'll add that all of the players involved were completely fine with the situation. The paladin's player realized that reading from the book was not his best idea...]

Very occasional in genuine accidents like misjudging the effects and area of a spell or where somebody fails a save they'd normally make, e.g. the Rogue rolls to make a reflex save and gets a one, takes full damage and goes below -10.

That's easy, I don't allow evil characters either. They immediately switch to an NPC, just as they would if they were charmed, dominated, mind controlled, or what have you.

So if I'm playing a Thief and I want to pick the Fighter's pocket, and I can't roll the dice, that means you'd have to roll 'em... :)

Me, I'll keep the firefights. But then, it doesn't matter to me whether the adventure gets completed in one session, or one month, or half a year, as long as people are mostly having fun.
But, as long as it's fun, is the time really wasted?

IF you were a paying member I'd send you a private message and explain it to you. :)

Sucks to be you. I pass them a note that says "Bob is your bestest friend in the whole world" and they act like it. They generally enjoy the notes that say "The ring is cursed. You are now chaotic evil and have a deep seated desire to do unpleasant things to the other PCs."

I admit to filtering out some characters but I believe that party compatible evils exist, excluding paladins. Even paladins can be worked with as long as they have a strong personal bond with other PCs, who tolerate the evil. IMC paladins have to catch people doing evil and react in accordance with the norms of society. Until then, they can only keep a close eye on them until they have proof.

There's been a neutral evil IMC for ~5yrs now and he's no more troublesome to the party than the NG bard. Which may say more about the bard than the NE rogue.

I think it's happened maybe two or three times that I can remember. The one that we always joke about involves a basilisk that turns people to ice instead of stone. One of the characters was turned into ice, and the wizard thought it would be a good idea to try and kill the monster with a fireball. We ended up with a dead monster and a puddle where that character had been standing.

My PCs have never been killed by other PCs. But I've had to kill one PC in one game when he'd gotten possessed by the BBEG and rushed us. It was the lesser of the sacrifices as my PC (cleric) had the means to bring him back but we had to get rid of the BBEG.

We try to avoid fireballing (or other damage area spell) when there's a PC in the radius. Even when they say, "Don't mind me, I can make the save".

I don't think that it sucks to be me, and I quite enjoy my campaign as do my players. I've often had comments that they are glad about my teamwork houserules as it avoids calamity and drama within the player group.

Please change your tone. I think it sucks to be saying those things with total disregard for the subjective nature of the statement.

I think that it would suck to play in your game, as the reasons you've listed are not fun and completely ruin games that I've played in before.

This is not a contest, I'm better than you, whatever. It's just opinions for KD. Don't claim your way is better and my way sucks unless you can back that up with imperical evidence...which you can not do.
