Let's hope it's somewhat current without being preachy. Like, "Oh look, we just realized North Korea is dangerous! Let's make a movie about it."

Actually, Felix Leiter (sp?), who is a recurring character, was black in one of the movies, despite being white in most of the others (and was once played by Jack Lord of Hawaii 5-0 fame). So it's not like it would be unprecedented.

I do think they need to use someone from the UK, though. It's hard for non-brits to do the accent correctly (Even Connery always sounds Scottish as opposed to English, though he does tone it down a bit). I would like to see the guy who plays Cat in Red Dwarf. He's certainly dapper enough.

But Clive Owen? I don't even know who he is, but he's kinda ugly looking.

Felix was black in Never Say Never Again. Not officially part of the Bond-franchise. Still, NSNA is one of my favorite Bond-films and Klaus Maria Brandauer one of the very best villains.
