Who will take a vacation from these boards?

I'll be multitasking. I will have the PHB in left-hand reading with one eye, posting with right-hand and reading the forums with the other. Then using my feet on my laptop to scour DDI Rules Database for when it is needed in ENWorld rule debates ;)

Actually, I'll be largely away from the internet for two weeks anyway, because my wife and I are flying to California on the 4th of June to visit her friends and family there and in Texas. Amazon's shipping my books to her parents' house, and while I could use their computers, our trip is short enough that we'll just be too busy.

Not busy enough to stop me reading the books, of course! Luckily I read very quickly.

I'll be taking a vacation but not because of 4e. I do it annually anyway on my summer vacation. It really gives me good break from gaming.

I think I will take a vacation from this board as well. I'll try to stay away until I've got the first chronicle sorted out.

I don't plan to take a break, though unemployment may force it. I post here because I like the community (mostly) and always seem to get useful feedback. Interestingly, I've played very little D&D 3x and am primarily a player of OD&D and Holmes-era BD&D (I have played a lot of non-D&D OGL games, though).

I found it is easiest to just not read the threads I don't want to read. :D
My sentiments exactly. While I have played 3rd Edition, the majority of the games that I play in have always been non-D20, and yet I have always found this messageboard to be a wealth of information! I find the notion of "taking a vacation" due to some incidental changes and a few forums that you don't care for to be rather short-sighted. That's like saying that you refuse to go to a Department Store because there may be a few Departments that you don't care to shop in! Just skip those and go to the others.

My time on ENWorld has radically dropped off in the last few months, because of the shift to 4E. I still have a habit of checking it once a day, but then I realize that there's nothing that I'm interacting with anymore. So yeah, I think if the focus is on the radically redesigned 4E game, it's really not the place for me anymore.

As he said mixed with the fact that many of the people I corrosponded too have already left or frequent here less and less has affected how often I am here. I seem more of a lurker now-a-days.

I ain't going anywhere. For the most part, I haven't got a game to play when 4e comes out, so I might as well have someone to talk about it to.

Please note that I already disregard most of the threads here... but it was accurately described as too much noise to wade through to get to material that interests me. Your department store analogy is more like trying to buy socks in a hardware store... hard to locate the right aisle for this!

No more than normal. I'll be busy reading and setting up my new campaign, but otherwise, I'll stop by to see if The Ranger Got The Shaft!!! :p
