Who will take a vacation from these boards?

In a large way, I already am. I'm jaded beyond belief with what I've seen of 4e (and even more so by its marketing), and as a lot of folks equally jaded seen to have been posting less and less, I don't have as much to contribute in an increasingly pro-4e forum.

I expect to eventually pick up the pace after things get back to normal once 4e is released and is out for a while, but in all likelyhood I'll still be posting less except for storyhour stuff, and much of my active posting my switch over to Paizo and Planewalker.

I will be pwning all 4e discussions. When some wanker comes on, whining about how his suspension of disbelief is all broken, I'll be like, "Shove your suspension of disbelief up your :):):):)ing cock! And by the way, :):):):) the :):):):) off!"

Elves, dwarves, and magic spells are realistic, but killing foes with one blow is not! :melee:

4e got me much more interested in these boards, to the detriment of the entire gaming community.

Seems like this place kicked it up a couple notches since 4e was announced. More enthusiasm, more conjecture, more threads, more fun. Certainly there were some ugly threads and negativity, but that only served to accentuate the good stuff.

That said, a break to devour the books in solitude* probably isn't a bad idea.

* Solitude, in this case, being behind a locked door in the bathroom.

If my running of KotS is any example, I will be on more. I had several rules questions and received lots of feedback and came out with a better understanding of the game. As I am introducing 5 (3 of them I just met) players to a new system, i want to represent the best I can.

Please note that I already disregard most of the threads here... but it was accurately described as too much noise to wade through to get to material that interests me. Your department store analogy is more like trying to buy socks in a hardware store... hard to locate the right aisle for this!
I respectfully disagree, there are lots of forums on this board that have nothing to do with 4E. Heck, most of the threads is General Discussion have nothing to do with 4E. (And Home Depot actually sold socks last year before Christmas!)
