Who would you pick to design Fourth Edition?

Gary Gygax and David Arnesan, with significant support from Bruce Cordell, Monte Cook, Sean Reynolds, Mike Mearls, and Shemeska (wish I could remember his actual name...but you know the guy......his Planescape storyhours and ideas are awesome).

*imagines psionics finally being integrated into the core, and done well, along with core Planescape tidbits, and the existence of an alienist core class, and warrior-types actually being awesome fun to play, and well-balanced rules.....drool.....*

Jonathon Tweet and Shane Lacy Hensley. Those guys are smart! 4th edition with design elements of Omega World and Savage Worlds sounds ideal to me.

Any group, so long as Sean Reynolds is included (he's the only one who seems to know how to do the math, and is snappy enough to remind other designers they're being dumb if they forget about the math underlying the game mechanics).

I'd sure like to see Ed Greenwood in a supporting role, if only to remind the other designers that (A) it's a game, and (B) the game uses something called the imagination.

Drop it right in Monte Cook's lap and tell him 'Redo this from the very ground up the way it should be done. There is no such thing as a sacred cow, and everything is subject to change. Don't let any thought of 'I should keep this because of fans of previous editions' enter your head'.

Peter Adkinson: A manager who loves and understands the game is as important as the designers.
Ed Greenwood: Someone to remind everybody its supposed to be fun.
Rich Baker: Smart designer and a good writer.
Reynolds/Tweet/Mook et al.: Solid numbercrunchers who seem to be doing everything right.

Gary Gygax and John Wick. The ego clash alone would be interesting.

Some stipulations: Focus on the strengths, don't try to cover all the bases, and no sacred cows.

Carl Sagan
Danny Devito
Margaret Atwood
Norman Rockwell
Kim Stanely Robinson
Margaret Weis
Frank Zappa

Wait...did everybody have to still be alive?

I think I had a brain fart. Was it Dave Arneson who co-created D&D, or Peter Adkinson? Stupid brain. Must not confuse M:TG and D&D masterminds.
