Who would be in the setting League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1990? And who would actually be in the League? Who would be the villain?

I'm thinking:

Sarah Connor
Dutch Schaeffer
SA Dale Cooper
Ozymandias
Vincent Vega
Charlene McGee
Jason Bourne
Connor McLeod
Hannibal Lector
Patrick Bateman

What have you got? Death is not an issue.

I tried and gave up on SA Dale Cooper.

EDIT: But the point is that I knew who 95% of the original movie LXG characters were (even though I never read the comic), which means that the new LXG characters need to be just as famous.

Of course. At least the members need to be famous. But there is a lot of obscure characters in the comic. I had no idea who John Carter of Mars was before I read it, for example.

Any suggestions?

Not Harry Potter. Ron Weasly.

He'd be following in the footsteps of other "Missed fame by this much" characters such as the original LXG's invisible man (Rodney Skinner instead of Griffin) and their vampire (Mina Harker)
