WHO'S In Soul Caliber IV???

Either someone is REALLY good at faking stuff or this is the biggest WTF? In video games since Kingdom Hearts was announced.

Apparently Darth Vader and Yoda! have joined the cast of Soul Caliber.

Of course KH IS widely considered a terrific game as was the sequel. Nor is there anything innately wrong with Darth and Yoda being in a fighting game, but one does wonder what prompted them to pick these two characters or why Lucas Arts agreed. Still George has loosened up considerably with the SW franchise (witness the Robot Chicken special and Family Guy's Blue Harvest) since the end of the prequels.

It's not faked. Images and a small trailer with the SW characters are available from multiple gaming sites (check 1up and gametrailers). Doesn't make it any less batsh*t insane, though.

Apparently, the PS3 version gets Vader and the 360 gets Yoda. I'm sure you'll be able to buy the other, and more, as DLC.

I think its great...and its really not THAT off the wall.

Soul Caliber II had Link, Spawn, and a Tekken guy thrown in randomly, too. None of them really made sense in the setting either, but they all sure were fun.

Spawn was great fun in SC2 on the Xbox. As a 360 owner, I'd have preferred Vader to Yoda, however I agree with Mallus that we'll be able to download the other (for only 500 Microsoft Points!!!!! or something like that).

On a side note, I'm really surprised they decided against adding in Ivy's Right and Left Breast as secret characters....
