Who's running or playing in an Arcana Unearthed Game?

Tell me about it. What level are your characters? What classes? What campaign world is the DM using Home Brew? FR?

I was reading the classes, skills, and races last night, and I'm a big fan. I like the classes alot.

I have a pretty committed (and well done I might add) D&D game that goes on EVERY friday. We have alot of fun, but I'm jonesing for a AU game.

I wasn't planning on it, but the players love the classes too much. It's a homebrew world. The PCs are a halfling Mage Blade and an Elven Akashic. Both are 13th level but not straight in their classes.

I am just about to start up a game based on AU, but without the Diamond Throne setting -- I never really get into pre-packaged settings.

My players are very excited about it, especially as I have allowed each of them to create 2 characters, so they can have potential trade-offs on different adventures.

That's a neat concept.

I was thinking if I ran a AU game that either the PC's would HAVE to take 3 levels of race levels, or I would start them at lvl 3 (3 levels of race levels).

I've been running one for almost six months now; there's a Story Hour post about the campaign as well (which I need to update after dinner today). We've had a blast with it.

We just started a new campaign on Sunday set in a made-up location called the "Briar Coast."

It's more of a swashbuckling/sailing game, and the characters right now are a Giant Oathsworn (think Drunken Master), a Quickling Shark Totem Warrior (a pirate type), and a Verrik Water Witch (a sea guide type).

I'm looking forward to the future of the campaign!

Been running one since fall with characters starting off with one level of race, warrior, or expert, plus one level of a standard class. We're having fun. Running in one, running one on a message board, and running one f2f. The in person game only meets every 2-3 weeks. We started at level 2 in the Diamond Throne setting (but an area where it wasn't detailed) and are now at level 5. So it's a homebrew DT game basically. One sibeccai, two giants and one litorian in the f2f game. Same with the message board - an undocumented city. That's got three mojh and a human from an (almost) all-mojh household. All players report happy times so far.

I havent been able to get a f2f game really going over here in Japan. But I have found that the play-by-post forum on these boards is great for AU games. I am currently playing in 3 and running 2. For the games that I am playing in we have:

[AU] Stone Bones run by Isida Kep'Tukari in the Lands of the Diamond Throne. I am playing a 5th level spryte magister who loves to get into combat with his energy blade. We also have a human iron witch, a human runethane, a sibeccai mageblade, a spryte akashic, and a giant (3 racial levels) champion of life as well as an NPC sibeccai greenbond.

[AU] Butterfly Cage also run by Isida Kep'Tukari in the Lands of the Diamond Throne. I am playing a 1st level racial mojh who is a bit cynical and easily angered when it comes to taunts or disparaging comments about his race. We also have a racial sibeccai, a loresong faen magister, a human runethane, a litorian oathsworn, and a verrik champion of death.

[AU] Seige on Ebonring Keep run by Rybaer as per the module though we are diverting from that now I think. I am playing a 2nd level giant Champion of Life who is the older brother to the other giant in the party. He is over protective and ponderously slow, a blast to play. We also have a loresong faen magister, a racial giant greenbond, a human snake totem warrior, a quickling faen hawk totem warrior.

I am running two games that are running concurrently and will at some point join up together for part of their adventures. The characters are all 3rd level.

[AU] Lost Dreams is run in Ao Manasa in the Lands of the Diamond Throne. The characters are currently on the trail of some goblins who have been causing trouble in the slums. In the party we have a loresong faen akashic, a spryte greenbond, a mojh warmain, and a human mind witch.

[AU] Lost Dreams: The Stone Troll is also run in Ao Manasa though the party is currently outside a small faem homlet named Brightholme. They are in the employ of a merchant who wishes to collect all of the gold that his employees have gathered at the sight of the gold rush and transport it back to a safer location in the city. In the party we have a sibbecai akashic, a human runethane, a litorian mageblade, a human wolf totem warrior, and an NPC human unfettered.

We're getting ready to kick off our first AU game and I'm very excited about it. Partly, I'm ready for a break from DMing for a while and want a chance to play. But I'm also very into the character concept I've got.

He's a Verrik Mind Witch (we're starting at level 2) and I've put a lot of emphasis on his ability to switch off his senses at will. I took the Sense the Unseen feat and, along with Veil of Darkness and his magical "Cloak of Darkness" (1/day diminished Cloak of Darkness), he's gonna be a sort of aloof, mystical blind-fighter.

I'm doing my best to wrap my brain around his personality as he's going to wind up with a Wis of 20 and a Cha of 6. I'm open for suggestions there if anybody has any.
