Gotta love Larry who set the standard for quality art for D&D.

If you'd asked me this six years ago, the answer would immediately have been Elmore for his work in the red-box DnD game. These days it's sliding towards brom more and more. I hated his work on Dark Sun, but as I've seen more stuff he's done since then, I'm becoming a fan.

You left out Arnie Swekel, whose work defines much of the feel of the PHB, not to mention MotP, the ELH, etc. Scandalous!

For me, Swekel and WAR are the two artists who most define 3e style. Both rock.

Todd Lockwood. The illustration of Fzoul Chembryl in the FRCS is one of the coolest looking fantasy characters I've seen.

Brom's in there, towards the bottom. I didn't think Bradstreet had done much D&D art, apart from a Dragon cover or two (at least, that's all I can remember).
