I feel a bit like a tool promoting this here, but it is for a good cause.
Way back on September 11th, one of the people killed in the attacks was one of our old General Managers, Paul J. Battaglia. With the help of his family, a scholarship has been set up in his name to be given out every year to a Binghamton University School of Management student. Every year we (WHRW) try to raise $905 dollars towards this fund (90.5 is the frequency).
If you're interested in donating, you can call the station at 607-777-2137, and just tell whomever answers that you'd like to make a donation, and they will give you the specifics. It is tax-deductable (and a receipt can be sent), and no minimum amount is needed - we'll take every penny given to us. I understand money is tight this time of year... but even donating a dollar is a big help.
If you'd like more information on this, you can PM me, or you can call the station at the number listed above, or go to our website, www.whrwfm.org. You can also listen to us on the web at that address, if you're interested.
