Why are Dwarves Scottish?

I blame it on the Bugs Bunny episode that casts Yosemite Sam as a Scottsman.

In my game they're German if anything. Das Ring des Niebelungen and all that.

Heh, there was a Bugs episode where Yosemite was German too. I think he was the Red Baron.

Yosemite can't be German. His moustache is too long. His hair color is wrong. And he's short. Aryan race, my brownhole. No offense intended for such a "humble" culture.

Wood elves will dress like a christmas tree in order to blend into the surroundings.
Everyone hates them because there are way too many subraces.
