A few questions for those people regularly doing reviews: Have you experienced this sort of behavior from publishers as well?

Oh, lord yes.

The tales I could tell.

I've had publishers/authors/developers/editors send me blast of , with little gems like how wrong I am to have given a competing company a better score than them (despite the fact that 1) if you did the math, on the average, I gave the guy's company who was blasting me better scores, and 2) one of the main designers who I praised in reviews for said competing company was one of the main ones utilized by the company of the guy blasting me.)

I will say that such publishers are in the minority, but there are a few out there who could use a dose of humility and respect for the talents of their peers in the industry.

I'd tell them to simply reply to the Review in question... or maybe post their email to the review at the least.
