Why can't I have a link in my Signature?

Hello there Powers That Be,

a few months ago I had a link in my signature to my website. Then I changed my website, so I changed my signature. Ever since then however, I have not been able to make my signature into a link.

Is there some specific reason for this. I see that most other people have links in their sigs, if not multiple links.

My own sig doesn't seem to be allowing URL code now for some reason.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Absolutely, UK. That's now something that goes hand in hand with the $3/month community supporter membership. We haven't gone in and edited the sigs of people who had links before this went into effect, but changing a sig triggers it. Sorry you weren't aware.

If I am not a community supporter and have a link in my sig, should I switch it to a URL, the space between the here and signature kills me every time I look at it and I cannot edit it! but I get the feeling that I should just edit the url tags out. Is this the suggested option?
