Why is it that people posting on a message boards get so upset for anything at all?
Opinion + Safe Zone (Home) + Inability to get punched in the nose when you're belligerent = Messageboard.

Did you ever stop and consider that some of us LIKE the changes done to the game so far and are, in fact, expressing our opinion of consent to said changes?

In Before the Lock.

I guess the idea of emotionally investing in a profit-making company, its marketing and the employees trying to sell product, to the point of angrily defending and even imagining insults where none exist, is alien to me. Makes no sense.

But getting emotionally invested in an imaginary race created by that profit-making company and taking it personally when they're not included in one book that same profit-making company puts out makes perfect sense?

True, but it exists. People DO put a lot of emotional investment into for-profit companies and the products that they like. Ever go on a car-related messageboard and watch GM and Ford people try to defend their chosen vehicle maker? Or the insanity of Original vs. Special Edition Star Wars fans? Loyalty to the brand makes people act differently. (See my sig).

Perfect sense? No, silly.
But expressing disappointment that a pre-existing beloved aspect has been taken away does make more sense than someone else being angry at that same person for expressing his disappointment.
