It gives me a reason to see some of my oldest friends every week.
I've gamed with them for the longest time with acquaintances in between and strangers that coem and go, but the core 3 of us are always there. Breaks occur sure, but ultimately, when there' s a game; there'll be the 3 of us.
Catching up and creating new memories together.
It lets us put time aside to reconnect and be in touch no matter how far apart our priorities take us (save geographically or something else as physically drastic).
