Because Digital River is incapable of processing a cancellation request correctly? *rimshot*

I'm totally down with the Compendium, find the CB to fit my needs 90% of the time, and loved the Monster Builder for how much custom prep work it saved me (hope the new one is more stable). The magazines are okay, and sometimes have some standout content (Bane and Torog articles, f'rex).

I still buy books because even if 90% of the content is in the Compendium, there are nuggets of fluff and whatnot sitting around that I can find a use for (like all the info on deities and domains in Divine Power and the Primal Spirit roster from Primal Power).

I subscribe because I want to support the current edition of the game. I wish I liked it more but I haven't played in a 4e game in about 2 years IIRC. We jumped right in from the start and played until our group reached 6th level. The game just wasn't working for us really. About half the group were indifferent and the other half didn't like it at all.

I like what I have heard about Essentials but I haven't picked it up yet. I really don't know when our next fantasy game will start so I am holding off for now. We are currently playing a D20 Modern game and I am not sure what we are doing after that. I just picked up Rogue Trader last year at Gen Con and I'd like to run it for my group.

I wish we had all of these tools in the previous editions of the game! I have big hopes for the virtual table. Right now I am using D20 Pro and I like it alot. I really want to play the current edition of the game. Right now it doesn't grab me but I am hoping it will in the future. That is why I still subscibe to DDI.
