I thought you were gonna say in order to replace it with a lower price before you bring it to the register!Wonder how easily that sticker will come off, and how that will affect the value of the book if it doesn't?

D&D books in general have noticeably gone up in price in the last 5-10 years. I'd hazard that the current D&D boom has raised interest in collecting OOP D&D books and ephemera.
Don't forget that Half Price Books puts all of their inventory on their website as well. So if it's gone, it might be because someone somewhere else was willing to pay that price for it.I guess I am surprised there is demand that'd meet that price. It'll be interesting to see if it is still there the next time I stop by the store.
I looked on amazon, that's cheap in comparison. Used version were from 95$USD.
I'm just glad we have pdfs of most of the books. Much cheaper and I tend to spend more time looking at then than a physical book nowadays.Yeah I just looked as well.
Books not badly priced.
I've got most of what I want. Missed Complete Champion.
The devil book, Drow of the Underdark and Lords of Madness not cheap either.
The 3.5 Drow of the Underdark (affiliate link) has a print-on-demand option if you're looking to fill that particular hole in your collection.Yeah I just looked as well.

Used to be the BECMI book was a couple bucks in just about every used book store or junk store around here that carried that stuff. A couple game stores had new copies and trade ins. Then, seemingly overnight, they all vanished and were going for lots and lots on eBay and Craigslist. Same with dragon and dungeon magazines.
I think I remember it coinciding with a year after 4es release.
