D&D 5E (2014) Why doesn't Magic Stone get better?

Also, I'm about to hit 10th level. I'm switching up the cantrips. I'm probably thinking something like lightning lure and shocking grasp.

I recommend thorn whip over lightning lure. Thorn whip has more range (30ft) and doesn't have a save on the movement. Conversely Lightning lure can do more damage and has no size limit. I think in general thorn whip is superior unless you plan on fighting a lot of huge creatures with low strength.
