Another reason is negative feedback. The few reviews I have done here got a lot of negative comments and I didn't wish to feed the trolls any more of my work.

Ha! Try calling Richard Dean Anderson, "MacGuyver" in a Stargate review sometime.

Though the most hate mail I ever got was when I called Wiccans "Pagan versions of Ned Flanders" in a review of a witch book, which I just meant as a reference to how they seem to be incredibly cheery and always saying that "Blessed be" phrase. Not negative, exactly.

I think it is a safe assumption to say that all reviewers would like to see more comments on their reviews. If anything, just to see someone say "I agree with... or true, but did you consider..." Comments do not have to be negative only, they can be positive and let the reviewer know he is doing a good job...
