Why I hate computers

As mentioned, I have a problem with PDFs crashing my computer when I use Acrobat. But I want to look at the preview for Conan. I suspect it's video driver problems (among other reasons, the Adobe troubleshooting info says that's a possibility)

So, against my better judgement (because my computer is otherwise working okay), I update my drivers to Nvidia's latest.

And course, now my games crash. Or at least, some of them. (the ones I play, anyway)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I knew it was going to happen.

Now I'm going to have to spend hours finding a stable version of the drivers. And #%@#%! nvidia insists on shipping drivers for every card they make in one big 8 meg package, and I'm on dialup, I won't be able to use my computer to do anything else.

If you are using Windows XP, you can just go into the display control panel, and roll back the drivers to your previous version.

There's a known issue with opening large PDFs with Acrobat 5 inside of IE. You can usually work around it by going to the link to the PDF, selecting 'save target as', saving the PDF, and opening it the standalone version of Acrobat.
