Why I love CONAN RPG

Maybe Im just not hard enough on my books. Most of the errata was little more than typos and I didn't even notice them until people pointed them out to me. I got a first printing and havent seen to the need to get a later printing.

Chuck

I'm the same way, i'll run as is, and if I encounter a "rules flub" I fix on the fly.
But it was a very classy move on Mongooses part.

The core rules will never support that type of gameplay, because that would be alienating the core market for the rules to begin with.

Never say never. Low fantasy can be accomplished with the Core Rules, it's a matter of getting creative using just the core rules.

I'll be getting a later printing, so I guess I'll miss out on all the wonderful Errors in the first printing. :D

Being a hardcore Conan fan since the early 80s, I am planning on buying the second printing of the book, the one without all the errors, as soon as it comes out. That is if I don't get it from ebay first

That's it. Come to Gen Con and I'm buying you a drink! :)

Everything I've heard about the Conan game sounds like it's the game I've been waiting for my whole life--except for the unbeleivably huge amount of errata.
Doubt that I will be able to make it to Gen Con. If your going to be at Origins, I'll take you up on your offer.
BTW, mongoose has done an excellent job of providing an errata sheet for the Conan game. You can find it on their website.

Any date on that second printing? I'm not likely to play a Conan game any time soon (if ever) so I'm not in a big hurry to get the book. Figgered I'd just wait for the second printing.

It looks like the 2nd printing will be either late this year, or early next year.
there is also the possibility that there will be a pocket book version of the main rules printed.

Just to let you chaps know, the second printing could be here in as little as six weeks or so - it will certainly arrive before Gen Con.

Speaking of which, Babylon 5 is getting reprinted as well. . .
