Why Is Gene Wolfe Kicking My Behind?

Welcome to the sadly somewhat-exclusive "Have read Gene Wolfe" club. :)
Well, dagnabit, this is the third book reccomendation I've heard today of a book I probably should have long ago picked up.

First Barsoomcore, then Takyris gives it the thumbs up. That's well past good enough for me boys, I'm going to go see what I've been missing, and fast.

Unfortunately, my stack of just read/about to read books by my bed has gotten so large that my wife has stopped complaining, and it now just making little tetris-art stacks with them to remind me that I should do something with them.

Ain't that the truth. My wife hates my book stacking, so every once in a while I have to either go put a bunch of stuff back in the basement, or back at the library. I've managed to keep it down to about half a dozen that are "on deck" currently, which isn't too bad for me.

I know this thread is a bit old, but you should check it out anyway when you're done; spoiler discussion of Perdido Street initiated by me when I finished the book a few months or so ago. I wouldn't mind ressurecting it for a little more Miéville discussion.
