Why is it called "3.5e"?

I personally think the entire 3.x thing would be much better if you could simply download all of the patches. Let's face it: As things become more and more complex, the likelyhood of needing a patch is going to continue to increase. Patches for games are here to stay, whether you like it or not. I see this 3.5 thing as a disturbing trend, however, as it could herald the beginning of a new model for business: Selling buggy products, then charging you more money to get the patch.

You think I want a patch like CW Samurai to replace over OA Samurai or SnF Master Samurai? I don't think so.

patience is a virtue seldom practiced. :p

i have an OD&D (1974) campaign starting in a month. :D

If it makes you feel any better I ran a short OD&D campaign about 2 months ago.

There are many things I liked about OD&D.

remember worse is better. If things are too good, well then epople get depressed when they relaize they don't measure up to the quality of work provided by others. So do your part make things worse, just to be safe, and protect peoples frail egos.

The phrase is less confusing for Ebay for when you sell your 3.5e books next year when 4.0e comes out.

If you say "3.5 D&D books for sale" somone may think that you are selling 3 and one half of a book.
