Why, oh why, must history repeat itself?

Oh, great, this is incredibly logical. Not to try and be a fear-mongerer or anything, but how long until bill's like this are passed for the literature industry? Will authors become responsible for murders, just because some wack-job read their crime-thriller and decided to emulate it?

I, personally find very few things too graphic for me. I guess I am desensitized to gore, but it doesn't mean I would go around murdering people for the hell of it. It's called self-restraint. I'm sure mental stabillity has something to do with it as well...

My favorite type of movie to watch is action flicks. Sometimes the more violent, the better..... :\ But I do know that if I did even half what they do in movies, that I'd be in deep crap with the law and morality.

It's that basic knowing what's right and what's wrong that makes people who they are...

That's what you get for making "off-color" comments like that. No pun intended.

i've always been acting on the understanding that it is learning from mistakes that make us who we are.

mistakes made by ourselves and others. we learn from these mistakes.

when we don't learn we repeat history. by trying to reinvent the wheel.

I'd respond, but Pielorhino put the kybosh on that discussion. Suffice it to say that no, like your car accident, Caveat Emptor is not always the rule to apply to the situation, but I believe this is one instance in which it should be.

Umm... Technically, that is a response. ;)

Well it wasn't meant as a comment to insult whatsoever, just a bit of a play on what was said so apologies for any offense caused, 'cause none was intended! ;)
