Why so many errors in MM3.5?

Lord Vangarel

First Post
I spotted what I thought was an error in the 3.5 Monster Manual and started figuring what the correct stat block should be regarding Saving Throws and Skill Points. This intrigued me to start looking at the other monsters and I started to discover what I can only assume is basic errors throughout the entire book. These errors also exist in the SRD unless I am wrong? Has anyone else noticed these errors and has anyone bothered to correct them?

Is it me or do errors exist?

Are you also counting bonuses from Feats and Intelligence bonuses?

Also, as Merric said, examples might get a quicker response. I don't know of that many.

John Cooper did a great review on the MM3 and did, indeed, find many errors.
The original poster seems to be talking about the first Monster Manual (3.5 version).

Edit: I have found a few, um, "inconsistencies" in the 3.5MM, but I don't know what's right. For example, in many places, a creature with base speed of 50' wearing medium armor has a modified speed of 35'. However, in at least one spot, a creature has 40' instead.

So, what is the modified speed of medium armor for someone who moves at 50' normally?

If you think that WotC is deliberately putting out crappy products in order to increase sales of future products, then yes I think your tinfoil hat needs adjustment.
