There are people who are concerned about the increasing use of facial recognition software. Some gave responded by creating makeup/fashion designs inspired by the US Navy’s dazzle paint camouflage systems of the 1940s.


In addition, someone else has made a prototype microphone jammer bracelet:


If these systems work, they‘re developments that nicely presage the oddball visual/fashion aesthetics found in so many dystopian movies and tv shows.

Wasn't this why some of the characters on BladeRunner had that funky makeup, to foil facial recognition.

I don’t remember, but that was one of the movies I was thinking of. I was also thinking of Max Headroom and a few others.
