WotC Why WotC SHOULD Make A New Setting

IMO because they are old ones, not to say they're past using but i think adding some metaphorical new blood to the franchise would be a good idea, a new setting designed to fit new DnD, the fresh slate that allows them to build things up from the ground, properly cohesively incorporating all the species and classes and such of 5.5 into a greater whole that feels like it fits together rather than have these floating bits of content and lore that feel disconnected from or crowbarred into those existing settings, and doesn't have multiple editions worth of lore buildup to work through for those that want to get into it,
How does this differ from Radiant Citadel?

Isn't Radiant Citadel an adventure anthology?
Each of the adventures comes with their own setting, ranging in size from a valley to a small nation, and they're explicitly not faux European settings like D&D has mostly focused on. You have lots of fantasy Latin America, fantasy Africa and fantasy Asia, along with fantasy Deep South US, all done by writers with ties to those cultures.

The Concord World settings are very good and a number of them definitely merit being fleshed out into full settings in future.

All joined together by fantasy United Federation of Worlds.

Fully agree. It was a rhetorical question that I thought I made clear I didn't agree with.

If/when the settings are fleshed out, some consideration on how being connected to the other Concord Worlds through the Radiant Citadel changes things would be great. As it is, I think that's only touched on in one setting, where the angel ruler of Akharin Sangar opposes the main leader of the Radiant Citadel, who's also originally from the region.

But having trade and cultural exchange with other places (which may or may not be on other planes of existence) would inevitably have a massive impact on some of the settings, especially the sleepier ones. And not everyone would appreciate those changes.

with adventures in new mini-settings

I don't mean to dismiss Radiant Citadel (especially as i don't own it) but when I say "setting" I personally mean a big book like the FRCS or Rising from the Last War or similar.

Honestly, that's probably the next step for Radiant Citadel. Put more meat on all the existing bones.

Or just take one of the settings and blow it out to a full-sized campaign setting. There are suggestions that at least two of the Latin American settings are on the same continent, for instance.
