Why would/did you become a community supporter?

I'm a community supporter because I have this annoying "honor" thing. Then again, there's a certain amount of "feel-goodness" from knowing you've purchased 3 years worth of an "I'm keeping this community alive for you poor college students" under your screen name.

Of course, as long as the search feature is there, I've no problems with using it... in fact, I spend time that SHOULD be devoted to my Story Hour browsing threads from a year or more ago, regarding topics I'm curious about...

This community deserves our support, so if you have the money, please help EN World to stay alive.

Two reasons. I like the extra features (Search, PM). ENWorld deserves my support.

Those are the same reasons I signed up. For a total of four years, so far.

However....

Last year (July 2004), the three-year Community Supporter account was $90. But now it's $135. A 50% increase is too much (in my opinion), so I will not be renewing in 2007 when mine expires.

Same here. $135 is more than I can spend in three years' time.
