Celtic/ancient greece campaign anyone? Or do you wanna go the viking/byzantium way?

Woot, I like the way you think. Why not Celtic, ancient Greek, Roman, and Viking? There's no reason to suppose that we have to be completely historically accurate here.

A greek, a roman, a viking and a celt enter a bar. Barkeeper says : "is this a joke or what?"

I don't mind mixing it, but four different cultures is a bit much, especially if y'all want to understand each other :p

From the legends and other resources Atlantis would give you the Celtic/Greek tone. I may be interested in this just to let you know. I'm in a lot of very slow running games.

Id love to play a Greek or Hellenic era game. Im looking forward to OGL Ancients. How about a Byzantine era/Dark Ages game that allows for Greek, Viking and Celt influences. Sort of like the old Red Sail setting in Dragon mag a few years back?

Argent, who is Atlantis by?

Alcareru, do you remember what dragon issue was that?

Thanks :)
Ill have to look it up, it was very early after 3e was rolled out. Ive sadly liquidated my Dragon inventory or I could look it up. To be fair the Red Sail setting was more Eastern European, dealing alot withthe Rus and Bulgars I think. But time frame wise it would fit into a Byzantine/Arabic/Viking kinda game.

Edit: Issue 290...

Woot!

Being a die-hard Irishmen, I'd of course dig the Celts. Vikings are cool, too, but I realize that chronologically they came a bit later. I could fly with either, but I like Celts more.
