Wil Wheaton has landed an acting gig on CSI!

It'd be good to see him as a regular, I never knew why people didn't like him so.

Wil himself said (in a print interview I read a few years ago) that he was a real jerk back when he was in ST:TNG. Not his character, but he himself as an actor and a human being. My brother-in-law's experience as an extra on a Wil Wheaton movie confirm that assessment.

It seems (to me, at least, from the interviews I have read since then) that he has matured quite a bit since then and is a very different (i.e., better) person than he was back then.

Head him speak at a con once, and honestly he came off as a pompous jerk then too. Didn't have a problem with him until then. I can forgive Shatner cause, well he's Captain Kirk for gods sake. But Wesley Crusher isn't a big enough name for me to ignore his behavior.

Yeah. He's a great guy. I sat in on one of his panels at Linucon last year and then interviewed him for Silven Crossroads. His book is pretty darn funny.

Also remember that having a wife and stepson now can mature a person greatly. I've liked his other rare acting appearances, and don't have a problem with him. The fact that he's got a great sense of humor helps, too.
