Wild Ideas in general

I think the Astral plane is the best plane one can travel to :p
It's the finding a way to traveling back that's a doozy.

I recently posted about how some of my players Baleful Polymorphed various monsters into kittens, then threw them at their opponent's faces as a distraction and for flanking bonuses. A Targeted Dispel Magic, although never used, would have been fantastic. Especially if a kitten was swallowed, and it originally was a Huge Earth Elemental.

I recall suggesting that a bag of devouring be used as an insta-kill device. Fasten a cord of some sort around the outside designed so that the bag could be pulled tightly closed around an inserted object. Drop a piece of meat or vegetable or a small mouse or something in first to get it primed, then toss it over the head of an opponent, or arm, or sneak it over the tip of the dragon's tail, big toe, whatever. If you can keep the bag fastened around the target creature for enough rounds to trigger the 60% chance of getting sucked in, you've got an insta-kill.

One of my players acquired a Daern's Instant Fortress with the command words "Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead" as the way to trigger the cube's expansion. He'd toss it at enemies and deal 10d10 crushing damage by dropping the tower upon opponents, then reduce it to a cube again with the free action command word, retrieve it with his Hand of the Mage as a move action, and toss it again as a standard action. I allowed this to occur for a single battle against some solders because it was clever and hilarious, but put a stop to him ever using such shenanigans like that again.

Note that MAge Hand, the spell embodies in the Hand of the Mage item, specifically won't affect magic items.

You point your finger at an object and can lift it and move it at will from a distance. As a move action, you can propel the object as far as 15 feet in any direction, though the spell ends if the distance between you and the object ever exceeds the spell’s range.
An oft overlooked feature/limitation of the spell.
