Wild Shape, What's Yours?

Hmph... according to the preview the primal beast is "a formless thing of shadows, fur, feathers, and claws"

I think it actually says "can be a formless ...." (so it's not required to be a formless thing .., though it can be.)
And also has a sentence about how it can be a particular animal form, or fey animal etc etc.

(just speaking from memory)

I'm going to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon of "My Wild Shape will be whatever the heck I need it to be at any time," because I like versatility.

The Far Realms stuff is pretty cool, though. Fits well with a character I have right now, a re-flavored Barbarian.

So who's going to host the 'Druid Inspiration Party'? We need a boatload of animal crackers and the full collection of "Teen Titans" on DVD. Anyone? :P

Glad to see people have already got some ideas going. I think having Wild Shape be entirely-fluff is going to be something that really helps in the character concept department.

Another idea generating in my head:

This one isn't necessarily a particular shape, so much as a particular attitude that influences shape. I was thinking that if the Druid is taken over by this Primal Spirit he probably is influenced by the spirits around him, well in lots of lore those spirits reflect the feelings/emotions of that place. So what if the shape he took reflected that emotions? If one was really good it could perhaps reflect in how the PC reacts at that time.

If you can't already tell, my Druids are gonna be very nature light, and very spirit heavy :P

So what should be the iconic attack of my duckbilled-platypus druid?

The platypus has a very harsh venom that it excretes through spurs on its hind limbs. The venom is so potent, not even morphine can stop the pain, and a human victim is usually paralyzed in agony for a number of hours, or even up to a day.

So it's got that going for it.

Also, the platypus is one of the few mammals to use electrolocation to sense prey/predators, so you could develop some kind of electric/static attack. But then you'd basically be playing Pokemon, you poor bastard.
