Wild Talent feat question

The threads about Psions, coupled with my interest in Eberron, has prompted me to purchase the Expanded Psionics Handbook.

I am curious about the Wild Talent feat and how it pertains to PrCs; particularly the Fist of Zuoken. The Wild Talent feat makes one a psionic creature and gives a base reserve of power points. In the case of naturally psionic races, is the Wild Talent feat superfluous? What benefit is there for a naturally psionic race in taking it, other than to qualify for a PrC. On the flip side, does being of a naturally psionic race qualify as a virtual Wild Talent feat?

For example, does a kalashtar monk need to take the Wild Talent feat to qualify for the Fist of Zuoken PrC, or does the natural psionic ability of the kalashtar race count as a virtual feat for purposes of entering the PrC?

Technically they need it, as it is listed as a prereq, but I and many other dm's houserule the prereq to 'having a pp pool' instead of needing the feat.

I dont think that the prc is powerful enough to need a, basically, wasted feat slot. It just seems like they were coming from the 'a monk is going to take this prc' point of view and didnt plan it out properly.

IMO its a virtual feat like ranger ones.

In fact the Races of Eberron have racial substitution levels of kalashtar soulknife that allows them to get align mind blade instead of the wild talent feat that soulknives get at first level because they already have it, well because they naturally generate pp and so can manifest a mindblade without the feat.

So I say this reinforces the concept that it should be treated as a virtual feat.
