Will psionics be in PHB 2, and when is PHB2 released? :)

Do we know for sure that Psionics will not be in its own book? That's the model we've seen in the past (i.e. in 2nd Edition, 3E and v3.5).

Well, in the past that was necessary because it was a different system. Now that all power sources will have a unified system it's no longer necessary to put it in its own book.

In the beginning of the 4E discussions, I came away with the feeling that there would be a separate Psionics book that was not part of the PHB series.

I think (and hope!) we may get both: Just like they'll release a 'Martial Power' supplement after PHB1, there might be a 'Psionic Power' supplement.

They will need to release the Psi rules in 2009 to go along with the release of Eberron. Otherwise the Kalashtar/Inspired are going to be sorta missing one of thier unique qualities.
