Will the 4e forum be merged with the General one?

Are there plans to un-separate the 4e and the General forums in the near future? Before the 4e announcement, I used to spend a lot more time in the General forum. Now I find that I visit it very rarely since it seems to have drastically dropped in interesting threads (IMO). So I am hoping that with the imminent release of 4e there will no longer be a need for separate forums. Thoughts?

Haha, I was *just* about to ask this in the 4E forum. Even had the New Post window open.

I think it'd be great if, in time, the 4E forum just got merged into the general discussion forum. But not right away. With a new release, people will want to discuss (in a focused way) just this new edition: their experiences with it, questions about it, and so on. I'd recommend to keep the 4E sub-forum until the end of June.

Also, I think it'd be a good idea to split the Rules Forum into 4E rules and 3E (and older) rules.

Arguably most of the things in the General forum are not edition specific at the moment anyway, they are about general gaming, planning gaming, discussing problem DMs/players, discussing campaign settings... all sorts of things that exist independently of rules.

As Morrus said in the other thread - we are discussing the various options at the moment.
