Now that pirates no longer have access to official PDFs, will Arcane Power hit the torrents before it hits the Compendium?
Place your bets!
And will it be a week after release? Or perhaps a leaked OEF for even earlier!

How possible is it that some of the people that are still there are now pissed about the previous layoffs (of their friends) and are doing stuff like this to deliberately sabotage their own company? And the strain on the company is really starting to show. I've been concerned about the state of affairs there since the whole debacle with the GSL. The recent layoffs gave me pause, and this whole mess...
I think the original question here is wrong. I do not think this is about fighting piracy at all. I think it is about making 3E products less available, thus concentrating the market on 4E products and fighting upstarts like Pathfinder.
Then it's a rather stupid strategy. Instead of getting my money for their older works, they actively drive me to buy Pathfinder books by removing alternatives.

Yes. Absolutely, definitely, 100% yes.A far more interesting question, I think, is "Now that pirates no longer have access to official PDFs, will Arcane Power hit the torrents before it hits the Compendium?"
Is there any thing in these posts that hasn't already been covered in the main topic post?
I wonder if some people out there will take it as a challenge...
