Will you see Dungeons & Dragons 2 in the theater?

You couldn't pay me to see the first one, and I doubt the second will be any better, so, no. Films like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter bring fantasy into the mainstream; movies like the D&D movie push it back into "not even good enough for cable TV" land.

I don't have a desire to see it, but I know some friends who will probably want to go see it, just to wallow it the awefulness that it will be. We went to the 1st one with mild hopes that it would be passable,m and instead ended up shouting at the screen most of the time. I felt really bad for the people sitting in front of us, who looked like they walked into the wrong theater.

However, one caveat: if the trailer fails to even remotely interest me, I'll take a pass. NOTHING will make this movie a box-office smash, for certain, and the first movie was entertaining to me on the order of, say, Beastmaster; so if I find the trailer interesting, I'll likely go see it.

I can't see any way this will be a quality flick. The first one was horrid, Henry insults Beastmaster by comparing the two =) . So I'll skip it just like I did the first one.
