Because they're Microsoft of course, they can't possibly do things right. Of course I image a lot of people won't bother converting to Vista. Does it still have WGA and the whole XP online registration crap? I positively hated that about XP.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I got the stuff moved over, and am currently enjoying the new computer immensely.

Unfortunately, downloading the Windows Updates seems to give me some sort of weird Bluetooth error, but I'm just shutting down Bluetooth for now, and not going to let it interfere with my enjoyment
