Wish's limitations.

Alright I will try to add as much detail as I can. I am building a rogue and I was planning on giving him the three wishes ring (if the DM is ok with that). I can see many potential stories on how he got the ring. Anyway. I just wanted to know if the anyone thought that the following 3 effects are within wishes range.

Wish 1 - Immunity to mind effects. (Essentially Mind Blank, just as a permanent ability.)

Wish 2 - Immunity to transformation. (Not sure I worded this completely right as my character may want to morph himself, just not be involuntarily turned into a rock ala wizard.)

Wish 3 - Immunity to poison (My character is built around making strong poisons and using sneak attacks. Would be stupid if he died by poison.)

Wish 3 Alternative - Shapechange or Polymorph at will. (Also thought it would be cool to change into a wolf or other creature for quick disguises on the run.)

Well there they are. I was thinking of wishing for the mantle of epic spell resistance, just wasn't sure that was a possibility. Do you think that any of these are possible?

Thanks in advance. :)

I could potentially see some of these being too powerful. Namely the Immunity to mind effects. Though I don't think I would see being forced to transform into something happening very often and except by our own wizard. So I don't see how that is overpowered. Maybe just Immunity to Polymorph?

Poison immunity has an item that does the same thing, so again I don't see the huge imbalance if almost anyone can get an item that does it.

I do however see the alternative of polymorphing myself being too powerful. That one was just for kicks.

Is there any way to make these more... legal?

Perhaps limiting. Like only immunity to poisons you've handled before. Only immunity to polymorphing instead of transformation completely or limiting the immunity to mind effects to specifically immunity to Dominate?

As an addition, if your DM is anything like me and my buddies, anything that you do Wish for will inevitably turn around to bite you in the rear in the end.

Wish for a dragon to die? It falls out of the sky dead hurtling towards your party/a thermonuclear explosion obliterates the countryside/the dragon's soul gets fused with your mind and suddenly you won't ever have another restful night's sleep as he explains to you endlessly day in day out about how if he had his body back he'd slaughter you in a heartbeat or perhaps torture you for eternity.

Wish to have an impenetrable fortress destroyed? What destroys it might be a big bad beasty wanting you for supper/the fortress just topples over and just so happens to aim right towards you/the walls turn into lava and suddenly you're running away from molten rock.

We're not nice when it comes to Wish.

Wish 1 - Immunity to mind effects. (Essentially Mind Blank, just as a permanent ability.)
Would be acceptable if you can find an existing feat or item providing this within Wish's 25,000gp limit. Unfortunately the only thing a quick search uncovered was the Universal Psionic item: Third Eye(Conceal) but its 120,000gp market values places it beyond a single Wish.

Wish 2 - Immunity to transformation. (Not sure I worded this completely right as my character may want to morph himself, just not be involuntarily turned into a rock ala wizard.)
Easy enough - your Race changes to one with the Shapechanger subtype, thereby preventing you from being involuntarily transformed since you could easily switch back.

Wish 3 - Immunity to poison (My character is built around making strong poisons and using sneak attacks. Would be stupid if he died by poison.)

Periapt of Proof against Poison: This item is a brilliant-cut black gem on a delicate silver chain. The wearer is immune to poison, although poisons still active when the periapt is first donned still run their course.
Faint conjuration; CL 5th; Craft Wondrous Item, neutralize poison; Price 27,000 gp. -- SRD:Periapt of Proof against Poison - D&D Wiki
While above the Wish's inherent price range, it seems reasonable for the Wish to provide the $25,000gp cash/gems and seller's contact information, leaving you to come up with the remaining 2,000gp.

Wish 3 Alternative - Shapechange or Polymorph at will. (Also thought it would be cool to change into a wolf or other creature for quick disguises on the run.)
Very easy: you're inflicted with lycanthropy.

The 25,000gp limit is only for nonmagical items:

Wish said:
# Create a nonmagical item of up to 25,000 gp in value.
# Create a magic item, or add to the powers of an existing magic item.

So you could easily and legally fulfill it by granting the wisher a Third Eye: Conceal. Whether you should is another issue.
