Some interesting facets in this job posting. I'm really looking forward to the possible initiatives in the digital world. Don't know whether I'll like it, but I'm looking forward

It always amazes me. I know this job is not entry level in the least but it just made me think of it. I look at all these job postings online and for entry level job they want like 4-5 years experience in the field. How the heck am I supposed to land an entry level marketing job if everyone wants you to already have experience?

It will be interesting to see what WotC plans to do in the digital realm.

1. Networking
2. Internships
3. Apply Anyway

Larger companies need junior-level hires. They hope to have enough of a buyer's market that they can still put an experienced applicant into that slot, but it doesn't always play out that way. Apply anyway.

Smaller companies often times need somebody, and while again they hope to have the buyer's market provide them with someone with high experience and low wages, it doesn't always play out that way. Apply anyway.

That said, the world is full of people in Marketing - either by education or raw experience. It's a glutted market and it is hard to compete in without an edge. In job markets like that networking and experience are crucial. If you can't get someone to pay you to cut your teeth working for them, you may have to lump it and work for "free." It's the consequence of the glut - there are a ton of terrible-to-mediocre Marketing and Sales people. An employer wants hard proof that you aren't one of them.

In that case, I'd be inclined to suggest that this is actually much more about a potential (new) MMO or similar offering, rather than an expansion of the PDF venture and/or the DDI.
