Wizards Website Survey

Took the survey; I'm not sure if I provided any useful info, though. I don't subscribe to D&DI right now because I'm not playing in a 4e game right now. That's the only reason. And it's not like my tabletop group is a bunch of 4e-haters; we just had some long-running 3.5 games that we wanted to finish first.

I got the same thing. No biggie either way. I have no idea why people are all worked up over this. They are asking people what they want, don't want, like, don't like. Marketing surveys have very specific paths for very good reasons. You may not believe this, but there are actually experts in this field, and there may be good reasons why you see the questions you see. Or so they told me in my marketing MBA classes, maybe they were just trying to protect their jobs.

The survey was decent. Hopefully they receive good, valid data out of it.

I answered the survey honestly, so I hope they don't exclude my answers. I was quite harsh on the question (I'm paraphrasing), "Do you trust Wizards to deliver digital products?" I stated Absolutely Not.

As for the questions what could they get me to subscribe, I included a print version on there. :) They probably will ignore that research, too.

All well, can't make everyone happy.

I'm a DDI subscriber.

I'm a 4e DM

I am pretty critical of both, when they warrant it.

For now, because of my special circumstances, both are worth what they're costing me in terms of time and money, but I honestly think I'm a very weird outlier on this grid. ;)

I'm with you.

Tried taking the survey. But it's b0rken. Right from the get go with question 1, I click the second choice, then:

Survey is broken for me too. Ironic.

(Windows XP32, Firefox 3, IE 7 - cleared caches).
And I just received two errors just trying to come to this page. Unfortunately, with high traffic sites, sometimes the load balancing on servers can cause errors.

Does anyone remember if the survey was redirected via a different domain name? Or if their "style" seemed familiar, like you've taken another survey from another company with the same UI elements?

It's possible that they were using a professional survey API like Survey Monkey, which allows you to create and manage your surveys, but they are either hosted by someone else, or utilize an API that allows for someone a third party survey engine to manage responses and generate stats.

Building reusable and repeatable surveys is not a trivial undertaking and most companies utilize a third party for this, since the cost per survey is low compared to the cost to develop your own with all the right bells and whistles (conditional end, conditional splitting, AI to parse free text boxes for keywords, reporting, etc.)

What the hell?!>?>!

I only got these questions:

Do you currently play DnD?
How old are you?
Gender?
What region do you live in?
What website fif you find this link on?

THANK YOU WoTC for NOTHING!

There is a reason why I only use products from Green Ronin now.

You should try some decaffeinated brands sometimes. They can be just as tasty!
