WizKids will release a new miniatures set featuring characters and creatures from Baldur's Gate 3. The two new sets, which are both being released under WizKids' D&D Icons of the Realms banner, will feature characters and monsters from the popular 2023 Dungeons & Dragons video game. Adventures From Baldur's Gate is a new booster set containing 40 miniatures, featuring an assortment of monsters and characters from the video game. While WizKids has produced miniatures of many of the creatures found in the set (which includes goblins, githyanki, and a spectator among other creatures), this set notably features designs pulled from Baldur's Gate 3 as opposed to the standard D&D style. Several monsters exclusive to the video game also appear in the set, including a Slayer of Bhaal and Necromite of Myrkul, also appear in the new set as does Minthara.

The second product is a new Baldur's Gate 3 - Characters boxed set, featuring pre-painted minis of Astarion, Karlach, Gale, Shadowheart, Wyll, Lae’zel, and Withers. Sadly, it doesn't appear that the Dark Urge (the popular dragonborn sorcerer player character) did not make the cut.

Wizards of the Coast has pushed the characters of Baldur's Gate 3 to the forefront of some of their Dungeons & Dragons marketing, especially with the Project Sigil VTT. Astarion also appeared in the 2024 Player's Handbook, while a very Baldur's Gate 3-esque mind flayer appeared on the alt-cover for the 2025 Monster Manual.

Both sets will be released in February 2025, with pre-orders available on WizKids' assorted website.

Smart. They should be able to sell these to both TT and video game gamers.
I'm pretty sure the digital sculpts for Project Sigil we've already seen of Karlach and Astarion are the same as seen here. I'm assuming that eventually, ALL of the WizKids D&D sculpts will end up in Project Sigil.

I'm also hoping for the sculpts from WotC's own miniature lines from days past end up in Project Sigil also.

The game's got dozens of memorable NPCs that would make great PC or NPC proxies. They could do a full set of 50 humanoid NPCs alone but I'm sure it wouldn't sell well without some great monsters mixed in.

I don’t think they are from memory let me check.

?

Edit: Teach me to read closer lol
Okay but, to be fair, they could've put the information about the set they have a digital render for above the information for the set and it would've flown more naturally. Nice that they thought ahead of everyone who's gonna say something about how their favorite character/companion didn't make it into the set by just...making a whole new 40 minis to go with it 😆
