D&D General WizKids wardlings prepainted plastic miniatures wave 3

I had seen these in the store but passed them buy thinking they were ”collectibles” and for kids, sort of. But with wave four they seem pretty great, and this video about wave 3 shows some great miniatures. I didn’t know there were going to be so many of them.

I thought about to buy someone for my 8y niece, but with that prize better playmobils. Sorry, the miniatures are cool, but preteens don't want yet tabletop or miniatures games with too complicated rules.

I wonder about the future of miniatures tabletop games linked with some mobile app. It would be like one player with a solo game, and the AI by the videogame app, like a "endless quest" or "choose your own" adventure gamebook with a board game, and telling if your miniature goes to that space she will fall in a trap, that chest is a mimic monster or that lady in the jail is a ghost. The app only would show the reactions and the stats of all characters but the solo player would have total control, and this would allow total freedom for house rules.
