Crusader has furious counterstrike, steely resolve, martial spirt, and easier access to the feat faith unswerving.

It is not quite as good at matching the wolverine style, but those options seem to fit in with the hit-me-as-hard-as-you-want-I'll-just-keep-hitting-you-back style nicely. Especially the third option in faith unswerving. One Last Strike is great!

I haven't been able to take the crusader seriously enough to give it a proper read (including manuevers, feat options, etc)...

Seems like psychic warrior would be by far the easiest option, with Claws of the Beast and Vigor available as 1st level powers, and Body Adjustment available as a 2nd level power.

It doesn't get you fast healing, but then that's pretty hard to acquire in general. ^_^ Let alone regeneration.

Fast Healing can be obtained by the warshaper class. I think that a Barbarian/Bear Warrior/Warshaper/Frenzied Berserker type of combination would capture Wolverine rather nicely. It wouldn't get the exact superhero picture but the basics would be right. Deathless Frenzy plus Fast Healing 2 would be a real pain.

This sounds closer to my interpretation than some of the others I've seen mentioned. Soul Knife might work by the numbers, but it just doesn't seem to fit the characterization. Of course, there's really no way to get Wolverine unless you use some kind of grafting magic perhaps. The best you can do is Sabretooth. ;)

I don't know why everyone is talking about Fast Healing- Wolverine has Regeneration. How many times has he been knocked out, effectively killed, then bounced back.
Wolvie doesn't regrow detached limbs, as far as I know.

Considering the explosions and other catastrophes he suffered through and stood up without a scratch minutes later even after losing his metal endoskeleton, I would be very surprised to get confirmed that this is true.

Wolverine #77 ~ Cyber broken Wolverine's claws after he lost his 'metal skeleton'... his claws eventually grew back. Regeneration abeit slow regeneration is well in the scope of Wolverine.

Thank you for your time,

Clearly Wolverine has both regeneration and fast healing. I'm guessing that his Regeneration vulnerabilities would be fire and whatever 'mental' would count as.

Wolvie's claws are made of bone. My bones will also grow back. It's a process called ossification, not regeneration in the troll sense of the word. Of course, his healing factor helped them to heal faster. I contend that Wolverine could not endure an injury that would outright kill a normal human. AFAICT from the many X-Men, Weapon X, Wolverine, and One-shots that I've read, this is the case. If you shoot him in the heart, he'll die. If you cut his head off, he'll die. If you chop off a leg, it doesn't grow back. He just heals much faster.
