US in quarter-finals, who would have ever thought it! And beating Mexico, our overly-enthusiastic neighbor!

I still think the game is boring, and needs a short field to pick it up a bit. However, I am not above being a fair-weather fan. I think I might actually watch those Germany games.

Oh gawd. This is the biggest team sport in the world, thankyou, and we're pretty happy with it. Please don't try and redesign it for us - stick to ice hockey.

Football is a very sensitive subject! As Bill Shankly once said "Football isn't a matter of life and death, it's more important than that." (He's dead, incidentally - but perhaps he doesn't think thats important, ho ho).

Seriously, though, forum style communication encourages tetchiness - I don't think you're an idiot, and my views count for no more than yours do. But no pitch shortening!

On a minor note, Ice Hockey is a Canadian sport...no matter how popular it is in USA.
