In my experience, the people who scream the most about difficult to obtain mounts from 15 years ago, or whatever, aren't actually doing that content. The folks who are in world-first raiding guilds or getting the gladiator mounts each season don't have time to complain on Wowhead that there's a smaller recolored dog mount that looks like the one that requires doing eeeeeverything in Dragonflight to obtain.Whilst this would make for a more appealing game for someone like me, there are those who see online gaming as a path to self validation. Which means if there is no really difficult content which they can use to show off how awesome they are they don’t think it’s worth playing. And as these are the people who are willing to shell out huge amounts of money in pursuit of displaying their awesomeness, the games companies are rewarded for pursuing that kind of player.
As someone who got the Herald of the Titans title in WotLK -- beating the hardest boss in Ulduar on a timed challenge mode while at the appropriate gear level -- everyone needs to calm down. There's no prestige in a low-poly ground mount you never use and if someone else gets it, maybe they'll actually enjoy it. This goes double for the people complaining pets from the old trading card game occasionally show up in the Trading Post for in-game currency. I've had the rocket chicken for 18 years now. It's a great pet, and I hope everyone gets it and enjoys it as much as I have.
(I also use the Herald of the Titans title on my main, as it's a lot better than also rare titles like Hand of Adal, which I don't think even Adal thinks is a cool title nowadays.)
